Discovering Omari "Wise-O" Hardwick...
Wow so last night I was blessed when my dad came back with a copy of Tyler Perry's "For Colored Grils" and let me say that regardless of what the tired, cosmetic-drunk film reviewers said...THAT movie was the hotness...my goodness. I had heard about the choreopoem "For Colored Girls who have considered Suicide when the world is enuf" by Ntozake Shange but I hadn't really read the book yet...but I will be ordering it after this movie. I was struck...and done with to see Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad, Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine et. al turn out exceptional performances. I'm not one who composes linear notes or anything but I dug this movie heavily.
I was also suprised to the utmost to see how accomplished Omari Hardwick really is. Great to see that the brother has more substance and is more than a presentation of perfect physique, contours, baldness, appeal, and tattoos (sarcasm) I ran into his website online and found out he's a very accomplished thespian having created a company of actors not to mention the brother is an exceptional spoken word artist!!!!!! That put a wide smile on my face for more than the obvious reasons!
